Install bitdefender on an offline PC that you know is infected.

Hi.

I have a PC I cannot bring online due to the fact it is sending out private information in an alarming rate. How do I install bitdefender on this PC? This PC has not been in use for 2 years due to this infection. I need too prepare the PC offline.

HI @JHS ,

For you scenario, my advice is to go to https://www.bitdefender.com/Downloads/ and get the installation kit , put it on a stick/ cd and then install it on that isolated computer. Install, scan, connect to internet and update.

Another solution would be to extract the hdd and scan it separately from a computer which is already under protection.

Just now i tried. There is no installation, the exe file tries too download something, and the prosess stops.

While there is a way around to install bitdefender total security offline, but even if you install it offline, you will have to connect it to internet to activate the bitdefender product at first place. Without activating, the product will not work.
