BitDefender, usb docking, dual monitors not working, blinking black

Helping my friend -
He just bought a new MSI laptop for work.
He has a usb docking station with dual monitors.
updated to the lasted windows update and geforce display driver.
Everything was working.
His company had him install a corporate version of bitdefender where he doesn't have admin rights. As soon as he did that, it's causing the displays on the dual monitors to blink and not work. He only has display on his laptop.
It was immediately following bitdefender and this thread, while old and he's not using Windows Insider is spot on behavior:
He doesn't have admin rights to uninstall bitdefender or change the advance threat protection. He's engaged his IT support to try it, but they are opposite hours (global).
Any suggestions?
