This seems to update the database but NOT the actual app?

I have version 4.0.0 and am told newest version is 4.0.1 ??

Choose StartAll ProgramsWindows Update.In the resulting window, click the Updates Are Available link to see all optional or important updates link.

I'd been using Bitdefender Total Security with BigSur without issue. Since updating to Monterey Beta Bitdefender will not update. Bitdefender Customer Service recommend uninstalling Bitdefender until the official version of Monterey comes out. I've done this so I'm am running Monterey without anti-virus 3rd party software. Am I vulnerable? Anyone else using a anti-virus that works with Monterey Beta?
