DNS Leak
I am using Bitdefender VPN Premium. When I run the extended test on DNSLeakTest.com, the results show that the servers respnding to requests to resolve domain names are either Google or Google Servers. Is this what I should expect when I am running Bitdefender's VPN? Is there something explicit that I need to do to specify a Bitdefender server to resolve DNS lookups?
I apologize in advance if this question has been asked before. I did not find anything related to it when i searched for 'dns leak', 'dnsleak', or 'leak'.

Hello @CCTex and welcome to the Community!
The VPN developers do plan on implementing our own DNS servers, however, for the time being we rely on Google’s DNS servers due to their excelent performance, security and reliability.

Hi @poffio
Alexandru's post still seems to be the case, even for Kaspersky VPN (and Tor). Extended tests run on dnsleaktest.com. Both Bitdefender and Kaspersky use Hotspot Shield servers. Using Brave browser and not being logged into my Google account, and Tor browser. If I'm understanding this thread correctly.

Hi @poffio,
This requires significant changes in the VPN infrastructure, at the moment the VPN developers cannot specify an estimate, but it's on the roadmap. But it's not a dns leak, because google sees that the vpn server makes the query, not the user's ip.
