Exploit.CVE 2011 0979 gen

I am using Mac Monterey 12.2.3. received a Manual removal requirement from BD into a private file.

"We identified a threat that needs to be manually removed.

Threat name: Exploit.CVE-2011-0979.Gen

Path: /private/var/folders/zz/zyxvpxvq6csfxvn_n00000b400002s/T/ Smith.WJ6UNT.xls"

I have went into the file until file T, which will not allow changing password to progress to next folder. Can anyone assist on this issue?

Hello @view and welcome to the Community!

This is a case for the malware engineers. An exploit is a piece of software, a chunk of data, or a sequence of commands that takes advantage of a bug or vulnerability in an application or a system to cause unintended or unanticipated behavior to occur. Basically, this means that the target of an attack suffers from a design flaw that allows hackers to create the means to access it and use it in their interest.

Kindly get in touch with our engineers by choosing one of the contact methods available here:

They will provide further assistance on the matter.
