Random hangs for small percent of mac clients
We have a strange issue with BitDefender on about 10% of the maOS clients we have it installed on. Our macOS clients are Intel computers running 12.6.8. We started having some of our macOS clients randomly hang from time. On a couple of machines we started experiencing an issue where the computer eventually became unusable. It would hang at login and either never become responsive or it would automatically reboot itself. We even wiped the drive and started over on one of the affected computers and discovered that the hang at login wouldn't occur until we installed BitDefender again. Uninstalling Bitdefender the problem would go away. After further testing we figured out that the problem returns only if we reinstall BitDefender with the "Network Protection" features turned on.
We've now implemented that change on all the problem machines and that seems to have resolved the issue. Is there a known issue that might cause this? Is there a way to fix this? We'd like to protect all the macOS computers the same way if possible.

we have the same issue but on different OS. for now, the problem seems to be located on Antimalware - on execute option
