Mac M1 Air keeps being asked to restart to install updates

For the past few weeks my Mac Air M1 has been asking me to update by restart every single time there's an update from Bitdefender. Like three times a day! It's never done this before. Just updated to Sonoma and thats made no difference. However the log of messages says that the items have been installed successfully whether I restart or not. Is this a bug with the late August build because thats when it seemed to start?

    Kindly contact Bitdefender support by visiting https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/. Depending on the product you've selected and the type of issue you are facing, you can get in touch with a support representative either by email, chat, or phone.

    If you choose email, you will receive a ticket number in your registered email. Please generate and attach the following logs to the ticket number that you received on your registered email for macOS:

    Generate Bitdefender BDsysLog for macOS: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/11198/

    Generate Bitdefender BDProfiler log for macOS: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/1863/

    If the generated logs are large in size, you have a few options for sharing them. You can upload the logs to Google Drive or WeTransfer (which offers a 7-day link validity for free users). Alternatively, you can request the support team to provide you with an online link and password for Bitdefender Cloud, where you can upload the logs and then share the upload link with the support team.

    The support team will respond to your email within the next 24-48 hours, excluding weekends.

    Additionally, if this is related to a bug, please allow some time for Bitdefender developers to release a product update that is fully compatible with macOS Sonoma. The new OS was released just a day or two ago.

    Normally, when a product update is available (product updates include app improvements and bug fixes) a pop-up window will inform you to restart the system. I'm not a Mac user myself, but see if this article helps:

    The latest app version is 9.3.1.12 so check if you have it. If you can't get to the bottom of this, I would also recommend to contact the Support teams to investigate further.
