Failed to find the Specified Path - Can't restore file

Hello, I am new to Bitdefender. After installing Bitdefender he quarantined the complete inbox file from Thunderbird. I have lost access to my emails. I have followed the instructions on https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/1733/ with no success. Selecting "Restore" displays "Failed to find the specified path. Please review the previous operation and try again." Selecting "Browse" (Choose another path) shows only "Dekstop" > "User folder"


After selecting a folder:

Notice the "OK" button is inactive. In short I cant restore the file, have lost my inbox. Please help

  • Found a way around this by cloning (copy and paste) the thunderbird email account folder and pointing thunderbird to that (Local directory in Server settings). I got access to my emails and have added an exception so that does not happen again.

    Select: Prevention & Threat Removal -> Windows -> Threat Removal, click on Contact Support in the black box and then click on Chat 24/7.

    NOTE: Bitdefender telephone support is not toll-free!

    Ok thanks, will contact them once I find some spare time, I don't see that happening any time soon. At least I reported the bug here, lets hope this will be fixed.
