Bitdefender 5 devices

Good evening. I want to purchase bitdefender for 5 devices but I was just wondering if it would it share any information with any of the other devices I install it on. I only ask this as I purchased Microsoft Office for 5 devices and it started to share all my documents on the other devices and others were able to view these. I can only assume it was because of the Microsoft Office and the code being shared but not sure as I am not very computer savvy. Thank you.
