Is there a problem with One Click Optimizer?

Just within the last week or two, One Click Optimizer has stopped working. When it is run within a standard user account, it prompts for the admin password, as usual, but does nothing (literally). If it is run as Administrator, it still does nothing. I have tried re-installing Bitdefender, to no avail.

    Hello.

    My specs:

OS Windows 10 Pro 22H2 x64 With Latest Windows Updates Installed

    Installed On 18.01.2023

    OS Build 19045.3930

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19053.1000.0

    Running Windows As Administrator

    BD Total Security 27.0.27.126

Just did a test on my device and the OneClick Optimizer feature works without any problems:

    -- STEP 1 --

Repair Bitdefender, by following these steps:

    -- STEP 2 --

If the instructions from Step 1 didn't help, uninstall the Bitdefender program using the Uninstall Tool:

    or

It will completely remove the program.

Next, reinstall Bitdefender from your Bitdefender Central account and see if the issue has been solved, as reinstalling the program usually solves the issues.

    -- STEP 3 --

If the instructions from Step 2 didn't help, you should contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by chat, telephone or e-mail:

Chat is the fastest way to get in touch with Bitdefender Consumer Support.

Select: How to's & Troubleshooting Bitdefender products -> Troubleshooting -> select your Bitdefender product, for example Bitdefender Total Security, click on Contact Support in the black box and then click on Chat 24/7.

NOTE: Bitdefender telephone support is not toll-free!

    Regards.

  • Thanks, Gjoksi. I will give these suggestions a try.

  • Everything is working fine at my end also.

Perhaps I am missing something -- what I have discovered is that if I am logged in to the admin account in Windows 11, One Click Optimizer works fine. I used to be able to run it in a standard user account and it would ask for the admin password, and run OK. Now it doesn't run from a standard user account, even if it is Run as Administrator. Is this something that has been changed? If it hasn't, I will try re-installing Bitdefender again, as well as the other steps advised above. Thanks!

  • Hello,

As far as I know, currently One Click Optimizer only works with an admin account, but I'm not sure if it was always like this..
