Suspicious connection blocked notification for msedge.exe
Hi, I have recently started getting notifications on bitdefender's online threat protection, but I am not sure whether they are a false positive or not - as they application that is triggering it is msedge.exe.
I have recieved a notification like this almost every day. I am using Bitdefender Total Security on a Windows 11 OS and I do not use as my main browser - I use Firefox. Please could someone tell me if this is a false positive or not; or if it's not help me remove it.

Hi Flex, thank you for your response. While I do know how to stop the notifications from appearing; I want to make sure that this is the real Microsoft Edge and not a malicious trojan, as it seems to be trying to go to suspicious sounding links, like bid.adsinteractives.com. Is there a way I can find out for certain that this is the real microsoft edge?

Hi @LJW,
This is most likely an adware browser redirect, by the looks of it. You can follow the steps from this article to get rid of it:
The notification will disappear once the browser is not redirecting you to bid.adsinteractives.com or any other annoying adware.

The notification has not come up again for a week since I changed edge's homepage; so I think it is fixed.
Thank you for the help!
