Waterfox and Librewolf browser suddenly take forever to load.
Hello.
Since a few days Waterfox and Librewolf are very slow to load any website i visit.Bitdefender takes over a minute to scan every site.Tried Firefox and Brave and they load normally.
Do i need to reinstall bitdefender?

Hi Alexandru thanks for the reply.
Nothing changes after disabling the BD firewall.Firefox is very fast but the forks are now very slow.I tried reinstalling but it's still the same.

I see. Another way to find out what could be causing this is to temporarily disable the security modules in Bitdefender one by one and check how the pages load after each deactivation. (Online Threat Prevention or Encrypted web scan could play a part here).
Here's the full procedure:This may provide an insight into what is causing the slowdown, if the antivirus is indeed the culprit. Just make sure to re-enable your defenses once troubleshooting is done. If the root cause cannot be identified this way, I would suggest contacting the support teams for a more detailed investigation and maybe even them logs coming from the product. Should it come to this, you can use the link below to get in touch with the Bitdefender engineers:
State your contact reason / choose request category, then choose from the available contact channels, chat, phone and email/ticket. Chat would be the fastest way to reach them.

Hi Alexandru.
I tried your suggestions to no avail.Then i disabled the Bitdefender shield and Firewall and left everything else enabled,and the slow loading and extensive scanning stopped.Turning both shield and firewall back on slowed the browsers back to a crawl.
Brave browser also works fast so my BD must have something against Waterfox and Librewolf. 😄

Just an update about the situation.It seems to been fixed by turning ublock origin and noscript off and then back on.
