How can I fix this issue?
Hello,
I use Bitdefender Total Security Antivirus for Windows 11. It works well, however. When a "bad" site gets detected defender stops it in it's tracks, however it leaves a cluttered notification area.
Somehow, when I try to click on a bad website, Biitdefender blocks the connection more than 12 times if not 20 times. Which this data can be saved in my Bitdefender central, the issue is that the data depending on each day will be ruined, as it shows "31 threats" blocked. But it's only 1 threat, not 31 threats (example).
Is it my Brave browser that's resending connection to gain back access? And Bitdefender continuously blocks it? If so, how can I stop Brave or Bitdefender from doing it. Or at least, do it once not 31 times.

Hello @Layad N,
Yes, most likely the browser tries to reconnect to that page endlessly, or something else is causing this behavior.
As a first troubleshooting step, you can try to delete the cache & cookies, restart the browser then check if the detections are still there. Also, run a system scan with Bitdefender, clean your inbox, uninstall any doubtful browser extensions if you don't know what they are doing, and the same goes for unknown applications installed on your PC.
These steps should normally help suppress the subsequent detection notifications in this case.Regards,

Thank you,
I believe it's just the browser that's reconnecting over and over. I check all my devices daily and do scans on a regular basis.
