Why can't I see any text?
I recently installed Bitdefender and I can't see any text in any of the features. Support suggested that I uninstall and reinstall the program. I tried that but it didn't help. Any suggestions on what else I can do?

Kindly check if the following steps help you:
1) Uninstall the Bitdefender product using the Add/Remove Programs option in Windows.
2) To remove any remaining files, download and run the Bitdefender product uninstaller from this link: https://www.bitdefender.com/files/KnowledgeBase/file/Bitdefender_2023_Uninstall_Tool.exe
3) Remove devices from your online Bitdefender Central:
4) Open the Run command and execute the following commands one by one:
temp - delete all the files in the folder
%temp% - delete all the files in the folder
prefetch - delete all the files in the folder
5) Run Disk Cleanup using this guide:
6) Install the Bitdefender product:

Hello,
This could be a wild guess, but check if it helps: go to "Language Settings" in Windows (use the search on the task bar) and install the "English (United States)" language pack. I've seen this work for a couple of users. I'll tag @camarie here for a more advised opinion. It seems that reinstalling didn't help and I can't think of anything else that could be causing the UI to display like this..

Installing en-US language pack won't hurt and was recommended by the guys writing the application part as being one thing to try. It is not meant to be a solution (we did not reproduced internally at all) but it can be a step forward.

Update: I got word we've seen this in the past, it's a very uncommon and isolated issue and I would kindly ask you to contact the Support engineers because they will know exactly how to fix this.
You can get in touch with the Bitdefender Support teams by choosing one of the contact channels listed here:
State your contact reason / choose request category, then choose from the available contact channels, chat, phone and email/ticket. Chat would be the fastest way to reach them.

Changing my regional format to English (US) fixes a different issue of an _in front of all the modules name.

bitdefender support was never able to resolve this issue for me. I had thought it was a corrupt windows user profile, so created a new Profile and everything, bitdefender worked normally for a while then it went back to blank and ive been just living with it ever since. The language thing is an outlier probably too. I have 2 computers with the exact same regional settings and not US english, one works fine, the other has blank texts. Changing the display language of bitdefender during installation doesny help either. This is a big mystery

I think these issues usually stem from Windows and/or Bitdefender using a different language pack than English.
Try to install one of the English language packs in Windows and check if this solves the issue:
- Select Start > Settings > Time & language > Language & region.
- Choose a language from the Add a language list under Preferred languages, and then select Options.
- Select Download from the Download language pack option. After the language pack is installed, select Back. Choose a language from the Windows display language menu.
Note that you don't necessarily have to use English for the interface language, simply having the pack installed will suffice.
