  • im checking this forum once every 2nd or 3rd day to hopefully receive some positive reply... and the reply is still 'working on', why not continue working until my license period is up ? If you really want a problem solved, go to the BitDefender website and contact them there. I got a problem solved in 2 days doing that…
  • In case anyone is wondering, after a month and half of posting on this forum, my problem wasn't fixed. After emailing support (I did this before Carmen sent the email she posted about), the problem was fixed in less than 2 days. The fix you ask? Repair BitDefender. Unbelievable.
  • Hello gdobbs23, We are very sorry for the late response. I noticed in the update.txt you sent me on Mar 4 2010 that the Update time was Mon Feb 1, 11:17:59, 2010. Please be so kind as to check if the Windows date from your computer is correct. Please also open BitDefender in Expert mode, click on Update now and when the…
  • The latest definitions is at 5474032. Engine is : 7.30848 What happens when you try to update from the update tab in expert mode? It says "Last update installed successfully." I just downloaded and installed something that was 147 KB. If it wasn't for the Microsoft alert, I'd have no idea there was a problem since BD says…

  • Yes, the Windows date on my PC is correct (it says March 15 right now). After a manual update at 5:17PM it says: Virus signatures 4959613 Engine Version 7.30161 A prompt response would be appreciated since it sounds like something isn't updating correctly and I'm not happy this has taken so incredibly long to resolve.…

  • still a problem
  • Anyone else have this problem? It is still telling me that BD is out of date.
  • Firefox hangs for me much more using 2010 than it did using 2009. Alex, what would be the drawback to adding firefox.exe to the Active Virus Control exclusions? Am I still protected when I use that browser?
  • LOL @ BitDefender. We put up with the updating problems (which forced us to restart our computer) for TWO WEEKS. Another problem arises that forces us to restart our PCs, and we have to wait around for TWO WEEKS.
  • And to think, it was "this" close to starting a topic thanking BD for their hard work in fixing the problems that plagued everyone last month (i.e. I no longer have updating problems where I have to restart) and getting the problems solved. NOW, I have to restart in order for my internet to work correctly a few times a…
  • I normally leave my computer on but now have been shutting down at night when I know I'm done because of the interaction required for updates. I've been shutting down more than usual as well...and it is absolutely PATHETIC that paying customers have to resort to this garbage.
  • This is still a problem after the major update on my machine
  • I've actually been told we are still protected when we get that screen.
  • I have a feeling that I will be joining engineerboy if this update that is supposing coming a week or so doesn't fix all of these issues. I was plagued with the "BD has temporarily turned off for an update." That appears to be gone the last few days, but I just got hit with the automatic updates not working, so I had to…
  • Hello gdobbs23, Files have been emailed. Hope you guys can find a fix.
  • Hello gdobbs23, Thanks Alex. I sent this in the email, but maybe I'll get a response quicker here: For the livesrv.log and upgrepl.log where you say to reproduce the issue a couple of times, should I send the log while I still have the red triangle telling me there is something wrong or should I restart my PC, temporarily…
  • haven't restarted my pc ,since i took control, lol just bd several times, lol it would seem that the problem lies with the seccenter part of bd or what ever is responsible to re initilize it, Well, hopefully BD checks out your fix and creates an update (that I'll inevitably have to restart my PC to get, lol) that can solve…
