Just as a point of reference, it takes 9 minutes, 12 seconds for the Support Tool to run on my Win7 Pro 64-bit laptop. It takes even longer on my older WinXP Pro 32-bit desktop. Regards,

Chris. regardless which program i use, they all ask for an address to send to. I think I understand what you are seeing. Once you have selected the file to be uploaded, leave the email field blank and just click on the Upload button: On the next screen, click on the Copy Link button which will copy the download link on the…

No. The default action is to delete the file. In Scan Options, you can click on the Modify button and change that default behavior to move to quarantine. From there, you can view the list of quarantined files and decide to leave them in quarantine, delete them or restore them. Regards,

I'm not sure what you mean by "secure" but I use WLM and it's spam filter seems up to the task of detecting spam. On BDAV 2012, I also have the options checked to scan all incoming & outgoing emails for malware. Settings-->Antivirus-->Modify (button): Regards,

Also, could you please provide the proper email for me to send the file that will uploaded to "Sendspace". You have to send Cristi the information via PM (Personal Message) not an email. By clicking on the PM (linked) in Cristi's post, you will be taken to his Personal Message page. Send him a PM with the SendSpace…

Hi Scott, welcome to the forum. I have BDAV 2012 installed on a Win7 Pro SP1 x64 laptop, so I know it will install. Two questions: 1. Do you have SP1 installed for Win7? If not, you need to install it first. 2. Did you previously, or do you have now, any another antivirus/security program installed on the PC? If you did…

Please post the trouble ticket number you were given so that the BD techs can reference it to get the background information. Regards,

Are you using web-based email or an email client installed on your PC? I use the Windows Live Mail (WLM) email client and I block email senders from within WLM, not BD. Regards,

For the best chance of a successful installation of BD, first use the official McAfee uninstall tool to completely remove the program. Links to many of the official uninstall tools can be found in this pinned topic. Regards,

Thanks for taking the time to post back your results. This topic is now closed. Regards,

As a second point, recently I see many files being quarantined. Never saw that before. Maybe related to a new version. I also noticed this after the BD update yesterday. In my case, all the quarantined files have been tracking cookies. Regards,

I added some additional information to my post: Or, see the last paragraph on this Support page and log into your BD account to find Support contact information for your location. Regards,

4. Finally, is there any telephone number that I can call? I just need to get this fixed and I need to talk to someone? Look in the BD About window as explained in this pinned topic. You will find contact phone numbers there. Or, see the last paragraph on this Support page and log into your BD account to find Support…

I have the file on my desktop but I can't attach it when I try to PM. It says uploading and after that nothing happens. No error message. It's 10 MB so I guess it's to big... You cannot directly attach the file to a PM. You need to upload the file to a free file sharing service like MediaFire or SendSpace. After the upload…

Until the root cause of the problem is fixed in a program update, the only workaround is after a PC reboot, you'll have to go into the BD settings and toggle the BD Toolbar ON then back OFF again before opening your web browser. Regards,
