As the title says, is there a way to "pause" parental controlled profiles without having to manually remove exceptions?

For example last night I was fiddling with my child's phone and wanted to see if I could pause some of the sites I have restricted without having to delete the exceptions manually. Can I "pause" the whole profile without having to do something extreme such as delete it?
