Device protected But ??

I have 5 devices in my subscription, Two iPhones, One Android phone, One Android tablet and One laptop..

all seems legit for everything but the laptop. It is listed as protected in central tho no commands get sent to the laptop? When I access the laptop but defender dash board is frozen with device unprotected, device limit reached ?? I’ve ran it daily up until two days ago. According to central the last scan was ran 39 days ago? What gives and what do I do to fix ??
