now at 20 hours and 122,000,000 items. The progress bar does not include progress percentage, so I have no idea as to level of prgoress. Can anyone help? Thanks.
The advice may help with speeding up the scan but I think it would still be helpful to have a progress bar that shows how far through the scan you are - the time elapsed is no use because it just shows how long it's taken not how long is left.

What you proposed can be done technically, of course, and was suggested before on the forum. However, there are some concerns that an update progress bar may not be reliable enough for the developers to consider it. It's predictability and accuracy estimation is not satisfactory and the feature may negatively affect other functionalities.
