Safepay - switch back to default desktop after a few seconds

When launching bitdefender, it switches back to the default desktop after a few seconds repeatedly. It does not crash but still runs in the background. I guess some other process takes back control. I did not identify anything suspicious in the task manager. However, I do not really have an idea what to look for. Any idea what this could be?

I'm running on Windows 11.

    I think you should contact Bitdefender support from the web page below:

    Select the topic that matches your problem and follow the on-screen instructions. Then click on "Contact Support" and choose the desired communication channel (chat, phone, or email). 

    Prefer the cat, for a quick contact.

    If you choose to contact support by email, you will need to fill out an online form. You will then receive (24 to 48 hours) an email containing an incident ticket number corresponding to your request.

    A certain app might be causing this. The Support representatives should be able to help here, as far as I know a similar report exists, it's not a bug, but something else. Head to the link shared by @TaxiMagicien42 to choose your desired contact channel and explain the issue in detail, they will adivse on the next steps to take.

  • Thanks everyone! I got quick help from the Bitdefender support people. The solution was to disable background processing for an app called Omen (HP gaming hub).
