Suspicious connection blocked. Adware or False Positive?
Hello and good day.
Booted up Microsoft Edge earlier and was greeted with this notification from bitdefender.
Instantly went through the procedure of resetting Microsoft Edge to its default values and checked my extension and apps. Nothing suspsious. Ran a System Scan via Bitdefender. System Scan completed, no infected items were detected. Cool. No notifications pop up while browsing on Microsoft Edge. Cool. I restarted my PC. When I logged back on and went onto Microsoft Edge the same suspicious connection blocked notification appeared again.
I'm a bit confused if this is a false positive or not. So if anyone has a solution or explanation for this I would be very thankful and you would be very cool.

The URL with certificate blocked is http://static.edge.microsoftapp.net/, which indeed had the certificate expired. Currently it has been renewed today, its Before Date is 2/28/25, 6:10:18 AM GMT+2. The block was valid, it just caught the small window between certificate renewal, I suppose.

Hello.
I beileve that you have the same issue as this user:
I don't use Microsoft Edge, so i don't experience the same issue.
Maybe @camarie and @Alexandru_BD, they both work for Bitdefender, can give you more insights about the issue.
Regards.

I got the same issue, … saddly i be more clear if i speak spanish, but i try explain well on english (i can't be clear under stress).
I got the same issue about got a threat notific from my security, about static.edge.microsoftapp.net, and my antivirus block the access, and this repeatly mean constantly, and idk how work on that.
I think is about expired certificated, and i read both post about the issue and mean is recently expired since February 28th, right? I scan my device, my PC and all clear, and i don't access suspicious websites and all, by be clear i be careful to enter on all. So that's discard i be infected, i check and all and i never got that issue than this.
Any idea how fix that or only Or is it only the job of the domain owner to renew his certificate, by be clear this is only external problem than us, correct?I hope i be most clear about my concerness. Any idea what happend?
And if we need renow this … how operated it?But if we can fix it thats mean we need wait while they, microsoft site, need renown his certificated, right?
I wait any answer soon. Sorry for my post :/0 -
