Mac antivirus MS Onedrive sync issue

I added Onedrive to safe files application access and added the Onedrive folder to Protected files.

Onedrive keeps syncing and in Finder the file shows as syncing and does not turn green "synced".

I'm running Big Sur.

Any setting I missed?

Okay, in the meantime I could solve it myself. Instead of the main Onedrive folder I added the subfolders to protected files. Now it all works fine.
