Thunderbird ATD Exception not preventing false detection as an exploit
Yesterday BitDefender started to block startup of Mozilla Thunderbird "because of an exploit".
I downloaded the latest version of Thunderbird (102.3.2 64-bit) from it's official site, and re-installed it but the problem persisted.
I added thunderbird.exe as an Exception for Advanced Threat Defense, but it is still blocked at startup.
The only way I have found that I can run Thunderbird is by turning off Exploit Detection.
BTW, virustotal.com says "No security vendors and no sandboxes flagged this file as malicious"
So, it looks like perhaps two bugs.. a false exploit detection and ADT exception not working.
Any thoughts or assistance would be much appreciated.
