Using iOS Simulator in XCode with Bitdefender GravityZone
When we attempt to reach SSL-protected websites (i.e. https://carallel.com) using iOS Simulator on MacOS, we receive an error that The Connection Is Not Private, and it looks like a self-signed SSL certificate is being proxied by Bitdefender which isn't trusted by the simulator. Is there a way to exclude the iOS Simulator…

How to remove BD SSL certificate and/or BD root certificate?
I migrated a website to a new host and was having trouble setting up Let's Encrypt. I proceeded to view the site without the LE cert working, not realizing that BD was going to install it's own cert for this site. HOW DO I REMOVE THIS CERTIFICATE AND PREVENT THIS "FEATURE" FROM DOING THIS IN THE FUTURE? I am beyond…

Bitdefender Personal CA preventing Chrome from connecting to websites
On my Windows 10 machine, it seems Bitdefender is blocking all websites in Chrome because it is inserting its own certs. All pages error with ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID. Edge and Firefox both work without issue and the certs show as the originals when viewed. Looking at the detail in Chrome it shows the cert issued by…

Bitdefender Free: blocks all sites without proper certificate
Since update today (9:27 GMT) - maybe even since yesterday - Bitdefender Free blocks all sites without proper certificate (self signed). Using link 'I know...' doesn't work at all or only parts of site appear (both Firefox und Chrome). I put the sites on Exclusion list, no change. Only after clearing browser cache it works.

Inaccurate - Identifies valid SSL certs issued by LetsEncrypt as dangerous
Am trialling BitDefender for Windows. Bitdefender improperly displays warning for web servers using 100% valid LetsEncrypt certificates. The warning displayed is misleading at best. The encrypted connection is valid and secure. While it may be true there is no background check on the owner of the domain, other fee based…

Hi, I noticed Bitdefender Free keeps interfering with my browsing, by blocking sites with potential threat detected (SSL problems), including bitdefender.com. I suspect the root certificates Bitdefender Free uses are not updated. How can I update them?

Scan SSL and EV certificates
I just realised that the 'scan ssl' feature means that EV certificates aren't recognised by browsers. EV certificates are important for differentiating between extended and domain only validations. What is BD's thoughts on this?

Your connection is not secure - Firefox (Comodo IceDragon)
Firefox (Comodo IceDragon) appears to tell me "Your connection is not secure" on every site. From Google to Bing to Yahoo, any HTTPS (SSL) site automatically gives me this warning. In BitDefender 2016 I could simply disable the "Scan SSL" and this was true in the beta of BitDefender 2017 as well, but in the final version,…
