About BITDEFENDER VPN and ports

Hello, at first sorry for my bad English.

I have Bitdefender Total Security and Bitdefender VPN.

My problem is that when I do a port scan with VPN disconnected, all ports appear "stealth", but when I connect the VPN, ports 0 and 80 appear "closed" and port 443 appears "open". Why does this happen? And what is more secure, disconnecting the VPN to be invisible or connecting the VPN even if it shows closed ports and one open?
