Recently I did get a notification about a relatively small product update which installed smoothly. I haven't seen the notification since.
-
I do hope it is a glitch, the notifications do say the update was successful. /applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=19459" data-fileExt='zip' data-fileid='19459'>BDSP_DESKTOP-NPASAR7_2019_09_05_16_31.zip

I would not do it! One reason is some inconsistencies, mainly with the version of Bitdefender Internet Security. Some parts state 2018, others 2019, images are from the 2018 version. Being a long-time user of Bitdefender over the years they do provide some good discount, being it personalized or not. Recently, for example,…

Hi, You were right. I scanned the registry and it turned out there were some traces of Firefox version 58. However removing those traces didn't solve it so I reinstalled Firefox and removed every version that was installed to get this fixed.

I don't think the stable version is a long way off considering there was a long list of users that won a year of Bitdefender subscription for their contribution. I mainly reported issues related to the vulnerability scan (the one mentioned in my previous post), the VPN and crashes which I believe some to be a result…

For now you have to uninstall 2018 version and install the 2019 version, there is no date yet planned but they said in the beta community that the automatic upgrade will likely be released next month.
-
There were/are some known issues with the vulnerability scan, for instance that it reports a no connection message when you're on ethernet. If I remember correctly they said they were going to fix it when the stable version was released.
-
Would it also be possible to not just exclude exe files, but also other files. I am having trouble running this program and I can't exclude it because COM extension isn't supported. https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/dds/

UPDATE: Spoke with Bitdefender support, this appeared to be a conflict between mobile subscription and Windows subscription that the central platform had picked up. It has been resolved by merging the current subscriptions with the new subscription.

Yesterday I rebooted my pc twice, it seems Bitdefender has updated to 20.0.28.1478, anyone knows what the changes are?
-
Hi brandonsisco, Please try to repair Bitdefender, this often is enough to fix this kind of problems.
-
Could we get a minidump or memory dump located in %systemroot%\minidump or %systemroot%?
-
After the first system scan (full scan), you don't ever need to scan again, because thanks to real time scan all activity is scanned and you know that there are no infections of the files that aren't scanned with real time protection because with the system scan. I only check the settings of Bitdefender after a reboot,…

Try following, In the address balk, enter "chrome://flags/" (without quotes) Search "Experimental QUIC protocol" (without quotes) and disable it Chrome needs to be restarted for the changes to take effect.
-
You might want to try following below, from http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=68481 Hi Lagarto and welcome to the Bitdefender forums! To further look into this matter please create a dump file of Bitdefender agent when the issue occurs (from Task Manager) and upload it on a file transfer website together…

Another complain is that if you go to the quarantine window in the Anti-Virus module it's always empty, you actually have to click a tiny icon at the top of the program and then click Events to actually see what viruses have been detected, not sure who made the design decisions on this but it made it very difficult to…

You can download updates or was able to download updates?
-
Have you tried to use the uninstall tool in safe mode and thereafter running the installation in normal mode?
-
From what app do you get that message? What directory are you trying to save to?
-
You have to uncheck the option 'Let Autopilot manage my profiles' in the profiles settings. When you uncheck that option, you can manually choose what profile you want to be active.
-
Try to use rescue mode Bitdefender Rescue Mode The post is for Bitdefender 2012, but I'm fairly sure it looks a bit like Bitdefender 2016 Or Bitdefender Rescue CD Bitdefender Rescue CD
-
In the firewall settings > click on rules tab > click 'add rule' > click on advanced tab > add the configuration.
-
You can configure autopilot to NOT manage the profiles. You can also configure the profiles to be active when a certain app is running. You cannot configure exclusions for profiles to be not active when a certain app is running.
-
Do you have any other security software? Other security software could interfere with the installation/download. If you have any, it is recommended to first uninstall those, install Bitdefender and then install the other programs you use.
-
Simply add the executable of the program to the list of blocked apps in the ransomware protection
-
You only have to select the root folder, everything in the root folder will be protected

I installed the newest version a few days ago after removing the 2015 version and have no issues with whatever problem one can think of,. Try a repair of bitdefender
-
I have seen such, some were caused due to a mismatched APC call or because the IRQL level was too high when attempting to read/write data from/to the memory.
-
Yes I indeed did, but I was in the meanwhile looking for a possibility to add some system information somewhere. I haven't found anything as I can't change almost nothing. After uninstalling the 19 version I couldn't install any other version (english/dutch) of bdts. So, at the moment I'm back with the dutch version…

Well, I read that 19+ is only for windows 10. I have windows 8.1 x64, so I reverted back to a few days ago (forgot to make a backup due to some stuff) to ensure I'm not getting problems with bitdefender.
